Good Food Box Volunteer

Purpose:
We are seeking multiple volunteers to help prepare and organize food boxes for our Good Food Box program.
Key Duties:
-
Assist with carrying and moving groceries indoors following delivery
-
Carry and lift boxes or bins of groceries (may require bending, reaching, and lifting)
-
Sort and organize groceries into Good Food Boxes for program participants
-
Help maintain a clean and organized workspace
Skills & Requirements:
-
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
-
Clear criminal record check (including Vulnerable Sector)
-
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
-
Organized and able to follow instructions
Time Commitment:
Approximately 1 day per week, depending on the Good Food Box delivery schedule.

reFRESH Market Volunteer

Purpose:
We are seeking a volunteer to pick-up recovered groceries from local grocery stores for our weekly reFRESH community market.
Key Duties:
-
Carry and lift boxes or bins of groceries (may require bending, reaching, and lifting overhead)
-
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including washing recovery bins and packaging
Skills & Requirements:
-
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Clear criminal record check (including Vulnerable Sector)
-
Comfortable working in a team environment
-
Van/truck to load and transport groceries
Time Commitment:
1 hour on Wednesdays (starting at approximately 11:00am)
