Our mission is to enhance and support the quality of life for Cowichan Lake area residents. We will strive to do this through education, prevention, recreation, counselling and support groups. It is also our aim to work together with other service agencies in an integrated approach.

Christmas Hampers

The Christmas Hamper program could not happen without the tireless work of an army of volunteers. Donations of food, money or new unwrapped toys are needed and highly appreciated by all in the community who benefit from this much needed service which helps bring cheer to all at Christmas time.

Volunteers are needed to assemble and distribute the hampers. If you can help on Dec 16th, please contact us at 250-749-6822 or in person during business hours.

SOME of our donations come from LCFD, Country Grocer, Town of Lake Cowichan, Cowichan Lake Recreation, Irly Bird, Kinsmen, Royal Canadian Legion #210, Mes Amis, Curves, all of the local schools and too many in the community to list!

  • Approx 200 food hampers are assembled and distributed yearly.
  • Hamper applications are available at Community Services.
  • Deadline for applications is December 4/09.
  • All applications must be returned to Community Services IN PERSON
  • Hamper pick up is December 17/09 from 10 am to noon.
