Our mission is to enhance and support the quality of life for Cowichan Lake area residents. We will strive to do this through education, prevention, recreation, counselling and support groups. It is also our aim to work together with other service agencies in an integrated approach.

Post Partum Support Group

This is a supportive and educational group for mothers who may be experiencing postpartum depression and/or anxiety.  Come and join others who share these feelings; this is a great opportunity to learn coping strategies and support one another. Childcare is provided, and there is no cost for this group.

Meet together on Wednesday mornings from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.The group may not be meeting regularly during summer months; please call ahead. Amanda facilitates this group.For additional information, click here ...

F.I.R.E. (First Impulse Resistance Education)

Ever notice that your first response to a situation wasn’t the best? This program teaches the theory about conflict and anger, and promotes skills for impulse control. Develop and practice new skills. Improve communication and wellness, resolve conflict, and deal with all of your emotions constructively.

Depending upon interest, this may be offered in a group format, or individually tailored to support you. Call with inquiries.

Fun Factor

This is a supportive group for women who may be living with anxiety or depression.Come, meet others, and get involved in planning fun activities that build that “fun factor” back into your life. We will be starting to gather once monthly in September. The possibilities are endless… from tea, to traversing treetops!
